Baby Names?

Hey! I'm 4 months pregnant. I don't know if im having a boy or a girl and my husband and I would like to hear some name suggestions.


For a girl we like Amelie, but we havent decided on a boys name that we like.

I'd say you should name your child after someone who inspired you throughout life.





E.g. I'm a musician, so I would name my baby after the musicians who inspired me to start (Dylan if it's a boy - Bob Dylan, or Eva if it's a girl - Eva Cassidy).





Plus, that's 3 people who have said Dylan now... good sign or what?

Reply:I dont know but when my mom is pregnant my baby sister, my parent always thought to give her names that means something good. Because my family is asian, I dont know, however we gave her a name that means intelligence, beautiful, and loving. I think this should help you.

Another name for a girl is also lovely is Ava.
Reply:Remember, the name you give your child is the one s/he is stuck with for the rest of her/his life. So, bearing in mind how children especially like to take the Mickey out of names, be careful. take care with initials. I had a school friend whose initials were G.G. and he was always called "Horsey." I would advise not to take names from modern day celebs, don't call a girl "Paris" or "Jordan" for example. (Actually I love the name Amelie.) As a teacher, I've come across some dreadful names; boys called "Jayar" (after J R Ewing in Dallas), Clint, Xander, Zachariah , and girls called "Chardonnay" (white wine), Loire (a french river) and Vogue ( a fashion magazine). Buy a book of names from Smith's and go through it for ideas for boys' names. Make sure that if a name can be shortened the short version is pleasant, Ben for Benjamin, for example. I prefer simple old names but that's because I'm a simple old person!!

Girls... I like the name Amelie. I think that Belle, Rebecka, Collien, Jennifer, Marci, Sam, Ellen, and Darcy are nice..
