Reply:Depends on how "cute" you want to go and what cute is to you.

There are really nice "cute" names like Alyssa, Kayleigh, Mikayla (or in my cousins exception: Mikaya - no l), Natalie, LeAnne, Annie, Brianna, and so on.

If you want a full name that can be shortened, you can go with names that traditionally might sound a little "stodgy" like Dorothy (Dot, Dottie) or Margaret (Maggie, Mags, Marge - not so cute) or Andrea (Andie, Drea, or Dre). There's also Catherine (Cathy, Caty, Cat) or Michelle (Shelly, Shell, Micha).

My daughter's name is Cassandra. She's gone by Cass or Cassie for most of her life, but she can also go by Sandra or Sandy if she so chooses.

The thing is, when picking a name, find something that not only is pleasing to hear (since you'll be saying it a lot!) but means something to you. The significance of a name is something your child will carry with him or her always, so be sure it's something you want them to associate with. For example, Cassandra, while a very beautiful name with plenty of opportunities to be shortened, was the name of a Greek prophetess of doom. Of course, my daughter has so far not shown her prophesy skills, but she is a very insightful child with a penchant towards the dramatic! (Go figure!)

Good luck in finding a name! Hope this helped.

What's your favorite celebrity baby name?

Just wondering what your favorite baby name is born or adopted to a celebrity?

Here are a couple of mine.

Shiloh and Maddox - Angelina and Brad

Wyatt- Sheryl Crow

Preston- Britney Spears

Willow- Will Smith

Sawyer- ?

What's your favorite celebrity baby name?
I love Debra Messing's sons name -- Roman.

I like Penn Gillette's choice of Moxie. Not the Crimefighter middle name though, too comic book. But I admit I think Moxie is adorable and sassy. Wouldn't bestow it on my child though...

I like Harlow Winter Kate for Nicole Ritchie's daughter. Not usually a fan of surnames for girls, but this one does it for me.

I think Sunday Rose is nice (Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban).

And Suri Cruise fits her, I like the meaning "red rose".

I love Julia Roberts' daughter's name - Hazel.

I find it odd Diane Keaton named one of her daughters Dexter Dean. I like the combo, but for a boy.

I like John Travolta %26amp; Kelly Preston's choices of Ella Bleu and Jett.

I think Carys and Dylan are nice (Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglass).

I do not like Satchel, Brooklyn, Apple, Moses, Pilot Inspektor, or Poet, but to each their own...

Different Baby Girl names?

Hello,

What do you think of these names, we are choosing one for our baby girl arriving in one week! They are ranked in order, first one is our favorite on down:

Harheema

Marpeeka

Jetqueesha

Ariellie

Kimtasha

Different Baby Girl names?
I like weird names, but these are really out there. They almost sound like you just threw letters together. If I had to choose from these I would pick Kimtasha. At least with this one she could go by either Kim or Tasha as a nickname. But to tell you the truth she'll probably get made fun of with the rest of them, they sound kind of ghetto.
Reply:Those names are terrible i am sorry.

How about Hailey, Jillian, Katelyn, Kathryn, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Chloe. Something normal.
Reply:Ariellie is very pretty. All the others are very weird. Do not pick Jetqueesha that is the worst of all.
Reply:hmm i have never heard of these names so they are different alright however i can not even pronounce half of them

try sometime a little less different
Reply:Ariellie is the best out of all of them the rest are really wired and the poor baby will b teased for life!!!

congrats and choose her a good name not crazy hun!!

Reply:african? hard. unfortunately africa has been overwhelmed by the west, as it were. we have tried hard to destroy their culture, as we do everywhere we go. i hope you find a truly african name. good luck too you. i only know african/brazilian names, african/english names, or african/american names. if you don't find name that means joy too my life, than perhaps a diary of what you felt, while expecting and how you felt after birth, inlude that wonderful feeling of pain when you look at them, because they are so perfect. The name is not everything, but recording, how perfect they are in your life is priceless. i write in a blank book, i write , not everyday, but at intervals to tell the kids what they are like and how i feel about them and how they effect my life. i am honest. and they will read this long after i am gone. also the names i chose meant something to me personally, and i can relate that interest to them and they understand. i do this regularly, so they always feel special.

Do you like these baby girl names? ?

Isobel Grace

Natalia Jade

or Nikita Paige?

Im pregnant with my 1st child, I am overjoyed to be having this baby as i have already had 3 miscarriges :(....Anyway i would like to name my baby girl something she will like and be proud of.

Just tell me honestly what you think of them

Thanks Heaps

Jacqui :)

Last name is Smith

Do you like these baby girl names? ?
LOVE the name Isobel, but Grace is so very popular. i loved it about 10 yrs ago, but now i prefer something like Violet or Ruth or Hope.

Natalia Jade is very cute, but i like Natalia with the name Paige better.

Nikita is not my style.
Reply:Congratulations Jacqui! I'll rate your names on a scale of 1-10 (1=hate,10=love).

Isobel Grace ~ 10 (Absolutely adorable. But I personally prefer the spelling Isabelle. And actually I like Isabella better, but still a great choice!)

Natalia Jade ~ 10 (Love it. Natalia is beautiful and Jade goes well with it.)

Nikita Paige ~ 5 (Not a big fan of either name, but they flow well and look nice together.)

Good luck and enjoy your beautiful baby girl!

God Bless, Noelle

I do not think Nikita goes with your last name. It does not sound good to me at least. I also prefer the spelling Isabelle. Think about when your child grows up and everyone spells her name wrong. That is going to irritate her. (That is the reason I suggest Isabelle instead of Isobel)

Good luck!!!
Reply:First of all, congratulations. :)

Natalia is a bit too quirky.

Next, Isobel Grace is becoming VERY popular as of late. You don't want your child to have the same name as every other girl on the block (I am one of those kids, believe me it sucks). Also, Paige isn't a middle name a child would like to own up to.

However, I love how Nikita Jade go together. It is unique, and beautiful.
Reply:Congratulations!!

I never heard Isobel...Isabel is really nice.

I really like Grace.

Isabel Grace is really pretty.

Not sure is they are pronounced the same or not!

And Natalia Jade are really nice together.

I'm not so keen on either Nikita or Paige.

Good luck with the pregnancy and the naming!!

xxx

Reply:All of the names are beautiful. I think "Nikita Smith" sounds a little awkward, though, even though I actually like Nikita the best for a first name. It sounds very foreign and flavorful, but Smith is a very common name, so I don't think they match well.
Reply:Isobel Grace is a pretty name...but i think Natalia Jade fits better with your surname.

I don't like the name Nikita...but paige is nice.

I also like Natalia Paige.

At the end of the day, its totally your choice :-)
Reply:I like all of them actually.

Try spelling it Isabelle instaed of Isobel it's such a beautiful name.

Reply:Congratulations on your pregnancy! You must be VERY excited =]

Isobel Grace - Lovely choice for Isobel. I find it absolutely endearing, and I find Isabelle / Isabella much frillier and rather less appealing. I've never like the name Grace, I guess it's just a personal thing. I do like Graciela though (grah-see-EL-a) and that's not used very often. I would try to change Grace around also because there are plenty of girls named Isabelle Grace %26amp; Isabella Grace, and your poor Isobel doesn't want to be caught up in the mix!

EDIT: For those unaware, Isobel is the charming Scottish form of Isabel, so it's not like Isobel is a mispelling.

Natalia Jade - Natalia is gorgeous. I quite like Talia as a nickname. Excellent choice. Jade is fair, nothing "jump through the roof" spectacular, but not an awful choice either. How about Natalia Jane or Natalia June?

Nikita Paige - Nikita is very cute but I'd like to point out this is a Russian BOY'S name. It is the Russian form of the Greek name Anicetus, meaning "unconquerable". Paige is just okay to me, nothing great (I like this name less than I like the name Jade).

Idk but "fit for a princess" makes it seem like there should be two middle names. Royal names are always long.

Do you have a baby name that you were not allowed to use?

Either because your partner did not agree or you had a baby of the opposite sex? If so can you share it here please? I like the name Joel but my husband hated it and would not allow me to name our son Joel. I said no to Xavier which is one of his favorites. If we had a daughter we were going to name her Ayla Nicole. What were yours?

Do you have a baby name that you were not allowed to use?
I wanted to name our dd Amber Leigh, but hubby didn't like the name Amber b/c it reminded him of some girl he didn't like in grade school (wtf?)

Bill is out for a boy b/c of SIL's ex fiance (even though William is my Granddad's and Uncle's name...i think we'll use Liam instead if we have a 2nd boy...our first son has to be a Jr....hubby *has* to have a Jr, LOL)

Samantha is out b/c of hubby's crazy ex gf
Reply:I was going to name my son Nolan! When he was born, we loved the name, but it just didn't suit him, so we went with Owen instead. Nolan is still a favorite! Report Abuse

Reply:I LOVED Aaliyah Alize' (ala-zay) but everybody thought i was on something. I also liked Cynica, Jessele, Constance, Geniuses, Sole' and a lot of the off the wall names that you dont hear every day. We finally agreed on Desiree Elizabeth. For my son I wanted Victor, Xavier, Diego, Dario, but we have a victor and xavier already and his dad hated Diego and dario. We ended up calling him Isaiah Alexander.
Reply:Im not allowed to use any names that are unique or names that you may hear alot of today, such as Hunter, Mason, Teagon, ect. Me and my hubby finally decided on the name Zackary and he told his mom and she decided that she didnt like that name so now we have to come up with something else.
Reply:considering im 15, and im not planning on being pregnant for a few years. i dont have the partner problem, but there are names in our family that i love but cant use. Emily is my favourite girls name, along with Camilla, and i have a niece named Emily and a cousin named Camilla. so there go those two :(
Reply:I like Michelle (as a MN) but my hubby dosen't, I also LOVE Alyssa...but there are THREE Alyssas in our families already! That's too many.

I also like Soleil for a girl, but he thinke I'm crazy, and that it's "too wacky".

Oh, and Rachel...he just does not like it :(

BUT...he likes Mason, and our last name is Johnson...so I vetoed that one since Mason Johnson sounds rediculous.
Reply:If our daughter had been a boy she would have been either Evan Stanley or Nathan Stanley. My husband picked both names. I wanted Nicolai or Elias. This time around, I wanted Matilda or Felix, but he said no. We are still debating names.
Reply:Yes i have had several baby names that my boyfriend refused to name our baby one was Wayna,Xeona or Alexis,stephanie%26lt;girl names

Joel,Darrel,Stephonwayne,xavier%26lt;boy names
Reply:Mckynzi, Lyndon, Isabella, ...

He didn't like any of those only Angel and i didn't want that. We finally settled on Brooklyn Marie for our baby girl : )
Reply:He didn't want me to name our baby. period. His family had a tradition where the father did. I split with him and named my son Devon which I know he would have hated because he'd choosen Russell.
Reply:I want to name this baby Lucy and my husband absolutley will not go for it. I have no other names in mind.

What do you guys think about this baby name for a girl?

My wife and I are having a girl and we're thinking of the name Lea Isabella what do you think of that?

What do you guys think about this baby name for a girl?
Not bad. The spelling of Lea reminds me of Lea from Big Brother last year though. If you are from the US or any other country apart from the UK you won't have a clue what I'm going on about and therefore will think I'm a crazy person.

On the whole, Lea Isabella is B-E-A-UTIFUL!

Good luck :-)
Reply:i like it...but i would spell Lea...Leah...and of course i love the name Isabella, thats my daughters name!!
Reply:I think it is a very pretty, girlie, femine name! It flows well and is just all around very beautiful!

Good luck!
Reply:I think it is beautiful!!!

Congrats!
Reply:its a very beautiful name ....

i love the name isabella
Reply:i LOVE the name isabella, that's my daughter's name. leah (spell it that way) is cute too but the two names both end with an a sound so i think it sounds better as leah isabelle. congrats and good luck with the baby :)
Reply:Classic and beautiful, that is what every parent wants for their childs name. good job! timeless
Reply:Isabella Lee
Reply:Isabella Lea-you can nick name her Bella....
Reply:It's too rhymy how about Lea Isabelle.
Reply:I love the name personally. Lea is short and simple and Isabella is very pretty and elegant.

Lea means: weary and is hebrew

Isabella means: God is my vow

I think the meanings are alright as well! but weary isnt the best meaning for such a gorgous name. Maybe its wrong. Go by what you love.. The rest of us on yahoo seem to love it too. ! Good luck and all the best
Reply:It sounds very sweet!!

The only suggestion I may have is that they both end in the letter "a".....maybe try Lea Isabelle

But either way, it just sounds so sweet!! = )
Reply:Its lovely.. Really georgeous...

But my advise would be don't hold on to tightly to that name as when the time comes for the baby to be welcomed, other names might pop up..

For now, Lea Issabella is perfect.. :)

All the best!!
Reply:it's nice...
Reply:its cute but dun u think these kinda long names are outa fashion today? try lea or isabella or elina...well it depends, if you like a name then u shud not care abt the world
Reply:I think its pretty. Congrats to both of you.
Reply:Lea should be spelled differently cause i think its pronounced LEE instead. Liah or Leah is pretty also
Reply:I think its pretty. =) Good Luck!
Reply:I really like that name a lot!!! Is Lea pronounced like Lee or Lia? You might want to consider making the spelling more clear.
Reply:They're both very beautiful names.
Reply:Lea as well as Isabella both end with a and so it's sounds a little odd I would name her:

Lea Isabelle

with an e
