What do you think of these baby names?

My husband and I are trying to conceive, and here are some names that we've came up with. Please let me know the ones that you especially like and don't like. Thanks!

What do you think of these baby names?
Clara, Vivian, Lillian, Melody, Elena and Grace are all gorgeous names!! Actually, that's basically all of them except for Jaynia lol. In comparison to the others, Jaynia just sounds too made-up and strange, and that kind of takes away from its beauty. Jane would probably work better. Of the rest, Lillian is my favorite, since Lily is just about the prettiest nickname (or even formal, given name) that's out there! You could also consider Lilia, Lilith, or Liliana, but Lillian is still beautiful. I also really like Melody and Elena, Melody because she could use Mel and it has a great meaning and Elena because she could use Ellie / Elly, my second favorite nickname in the world lol.





For the boys, I only really like Theodore (especially Theodore, it's a little less common than Edward, but both are still awesome) and Edward. Both are great, masculine and traditional names that have great nickname possibilities. Javen, again, is too weird for me, especially compared to your other choices, while Jesse has always seemed to girly for me for a boy's name. Donivan, or Donovan, isn't that bad, but I honestly don't like the possibility of him being called Don or Donnie for short lol. It sounds really country to me.

I like Lillian- when paired with Rose :] I think they sound beautiful together. Lily is a classical nickname too and is completely timeless. Vivian I'm not so keen on, it sounds pretty but has never really appealed to me for some reason.





Grace is gorgeous! It sounds great as a first or middle name, but you might want to keep it as a middle name, it sounds delightful with Melody, "Melody Grace" or Elena Grace...pretty much any of your names there really! Clara is also appealing to me, there's something "graceful" about it, perfect for a little girl - 'Clara Grace' ...there you go! :D





Javen is a cute boy's name, its a nice alternative to "Jason" or "Jayden" which are becomming very popular right now. Theo is my favourite from your list of boys names, I've always loved this name and seems to suit babies- through to adults effortlessly :] Donivan I'm not so keen on, but I know a lot of people personally who would disagree. Some great choices there altogether.

Reply:OH wow, I can see that many people don't like the name Vivian. But I love that name. I think it's powerful and graceful, even though it's a bit old, I still really like it. I know a girl and her name is Vivian, she's so kind and sweet.


I'm not too much of a fan on Elena, I'm not sure why though





For the boy, I really like Theodore, it sounds so cute, like Theo, haha

To me, Grace is more of a middle name than a first name. But a gorgeous middle name at that.





I don't like vivian atall. It'll be shortened to viv and that just screms Viv from emmerdale.. not cool.








I like the name Theodore, shortened to theo not ted. And I love Jesse. Not edward though, old manish to me.
