Baby names: How can i decide..?

I'm finding it so hard to think of which name i like the best for my son, i've narrowed it down to two but it's so hard.





I love the name Joshua James and i love the name Charlie.





Any tips on how i can make it easier for myself to decide? I've got 20weeks left to decide, but i want to pick the name now and it's stressing me out. I mean i can't take my mind off choosing one lol.

What about Charlie James, or Charlie Douglas, or Charlie William.





Also, Charlie is a cute nickname, but when he gets older, he might prefer to be able to use the more "grown up" and professional name of Charles.
Reply:Think about why you like them.


Or think of the people you know named Charlie or Joshua. Think about how the name might remind you of them some time or another and whether you want that or not.


There's also the matter of nicknames.


People might call Joshua Josh, and might assume Charlie is Charles.


If you don't like a name that goes with it - his nickname might be out of your control.





If you've been through all that, ask the babies father or your family (mother, sisters, aunts, cousins) and see what they think.

Reply:I personally wouldn't want people calling my child J.J. but that's just my opinion. If you like all of them, why not use all of them? Charlie Joshua James or Joshua Charlie James?





C.J. and J.C. would make nicer nicknames....
